What does dpi mean? dpi is dot per inch, the higher the dpi the better the quality of the image when printed out. All screen resolutions are at 72dpi and most images will always look great, but when you try to print out on 72dpi, the image will get quite a bit pixilated and not look so great. 300dpi on the other hand is what real quality images are printed out at and most digital SLR cameras format to 300dpi when taking photos on the high image format. So our FREE 72dpi looks ok on a screen but our original downloadable photos look top notch from a printer as they are 300dpi.
